Description
One of at least two takes from the Houston-native on Tinker Hatfield’s iconic 35-year-old design, the upcoming sneakers delivers an experimental onto the cross-training model. Traditional leather is replaced with rugged corduroy and ribbed mesh, with the former covering the majority of Scott’s latest Nike collaboration. Perforate suede makes up the tongue, and blends in with its direct surrounding’s “Grey Haze” makeup. Laces, quarter panels, lockdown straps at the vamp and accenting details across the midsole deviate in a slight yellow tone that both nods to the past, while tapping into the desert colour palette that’ve appeared on past Cactus Jack projects. A “Chlorophyll”-reminiscent hue animates Scott-specific branding throughout the upper. Lastly, the Air Trainer 1‘s makeover by the 31-year-old features stash pockets behind the tongue and at the spine, as well as a detachable weather-resistant shroud.
